Faculty of Engineering Departments
To keep pace with the boom witnessed by the Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of infrastructure and the development in the implementation of distinguished buildings, such as the iconic building in the Administrative Capital – the Civil Engineering program was one of the first programs in providing the student with skills in the construction of buildings of all kinds, as well as the design and implementation of bridges, and the specialization of transportation engineering, which includes designing And the implementation of roads, railways, subway systems and airports, as well as the specialization of infrastructure and environmental engineering, which includes the design and implementation of water treatment plants, water networks, sewage networks, and storm water drainage networks. The specialization of water resources, which includes the design and implementation of modern irrigation systems and irrigation facilities such as canals, drains, dams and power plants. This is done by using modern programs and technologies that qualify the engineer to compete in the local, regional and international labor market.

The program of the Department of Architectural Engineering teaches the student the basics and standards for designing different buildings with various functions, as well as the foundations of planning cities, sites, and various industrial areas. It also teaches students the foundations of building implementation, site supervision, and project management. This is done by using modern technological means that are in line with the times, including all software that supports specialization and the student’s acquisition of applied skills in public and national projects to become an engineer capable of working in the private and public sector, inside and outside the country.

The main objective of the department is to prepare the future engineer who is able to compete in the fields of communication technology and computer engineering. The department is also keen on recruiting professors from reputable international universities, especially from Japan, to teach some subspecialties. Thus, students who obtained a bachelor’s degree in the Communications and Computer Engineering program acquire a deep understanding of communications and computers and their various applications, which enables them to occupy jobs in local, regional and international agencies in communications systems. And computer programming, control and network security – as well as mobile phone companies, the Internet, satellite stations, programming companies and artificial intelligence applications. It also provides an opportunity for future study in graduate programs.

Mechatronics engineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that keeps pace with technological development in all walks of life. It focuses on the integration of mechanical, electronic, and electrical engineering systems, and also includes a mixture of studies in robotics, electronics, computer science, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, systems, remote control, automation, and product engineering. Accordingly, the mechatronics engineer will be able to create modern technological systems that keep pace with the times – and graduate a qualified student to keep pace with the local, regional and international labor market.

The Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering Program aims to meet the needs of electrical power plants of all kinds, including traditional electrical energy spread in the world, as well as renewable electrical energy, such as solar thermal energy, photovoltaic energy, wind energy, hydro energy, bioenergy technology and waste conversion, and tidal energy. wave energy, energy storage systems and related modern technologies. This is done by preparing engineers who are familiar with the different types of these sources and how they work. In addition, it identifies problems and finds appropriate solutions for the efficient use of conventional and renewable electric energy in various industrial fields. The program is concerned with renewable energy, thus reducing dependence on fossil fuels and reducing environmental pollution. The labor market in Egypt desperately needs engineers with this background, especially in the context of the national effort to provide energy at affordable prices to citizens. In addition, this field is attracting global interest, which makes it important to include it in Egypt’s higher education system.

Mechanical engineering is an engineering branch that combines engineering physics with principles of mathematics and materials science, to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and most extensive branches of engineering. Mechanical engineers use tools such as computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management to design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial machinery and equipment, heating and cooling systems, transportation systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices, weapons, and more. It is the branch of engineering that includes the design, production, and operation of machines. To become the engineer able to manage a team of professionals in specialized fields such as mechanical drafting, design, prototyping, 3D printing and CNC machining specialists.
